National Endowment for the Arts Announces Annual Free Concert to Celebrate the 2003 National Heritage Fellows

Washington, D.C. - The National Endowment for the Arts announces its free annual concert to celebrate the 2003 National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellows on Friday, September 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Lisner Auditorium on the George Washington University campus. The program will include performances, displays and discussions with the 16 artists about their lives and careers. The National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellowships represent the nation's highest honor in the folk and traditional arts.
Special Guest Host Sam Donaldson of ABC News will join Master of Ceremonies Nick Spitzer, host of public radio's American Routes program, for this year's event.
