Fort Worth Opera continued their tour of four military bases with this performance at Lackland AFB. Each song was dramatically performed as a scene, with some minimal props and staging. The works performed had been selected to exemplify themes of family togetherness, separation, and reunion. Fort Worth Opera used some narration (carried out by the singers) to convey these ideas, which were explained much further in a lovely glossy program they created for the tour. The singers achieved a very comfortable level of connection with the audience at this and other bases, and the audience seemed very engaged and appreciative.
